Monday is Market Day in the historic capital town of the Peak District, Bakewell. The only market in the Peak District National Park, Bakewell has held a market since 1330. Every week 140 diverse stalls selling a wide range of goods bring a vibrant, bustling but friendly atmosphere to the town. No matter what you're looking for, there's a good chance you're going to find it here!

Beyond the market, Bakewell offers a charming day out that is full of heritage and tradition. Set in some of the UK's most glorious countryside, the town offers charming tea rooms with set in cosy courtyards, impressive stone buildings, a quaint five-arch Roman bridge, Grade I listed church, a museum, historic almshouses and a host of riverside attractions.
