Shugborough Estate (National Trust)

1 Days from just £28.00

A 'perfect paradise' in the heart of Staffordshire, Shugborough Estate offers a rich blend of landscape, monuments, gardens and architecture, shaped - like many of the great houses of Georgian England - by exploration and global encounters.

Home to the Anson family since 1624, Shugborough sits within sweeping parkland and ancient woodland looking out over Cannock Chase Country Park. In the Georgian mansion, Greenliners can unearth unusual treasures and experience life 'below stairs' in the servant's quarters before steppinng into a world of glamour and royalty in the appartments of the 5th Earl, fashion photographer Patrick Lichfield.

Shugborough also features large productive walled gardens, formal gardens and arboretums featuring Europe's widest yew tree! Greenliners can also head over to the model Park Farm to see Dorking Chickens, Longhorn cows and Southdown sheep before rounding off the day with a treat from the tea-rooms or cafe before we head back home.
