1 Days from just £28.00

Celebrate National Gardening Day with a delightful trip to Birmingham Botanical Gardens!

The 'green heart of Birmingham', Birmingham Botanical Gardens is one of the UK's most significant historic botanic gardens, remanining largely intact since it opened in 1829. It's unique bio-diverse natural environment covers 15 acres of grade II listed landscape.

Its 5 glasshouses - Tropical, Subtropical, Mediterranean, Arid and Alpine - contain over 1000 plants with many exotic and unique plants not found anywhere else in the UK. The Alpine Garden demonstrates many of the different containers, composts, rock types and mulches that can be used to grow a wide range of rock garden plants. Themed sections give you a tuor of the world with some stunning highlights!

Step into the diverse and tranquil world of the Pinetum, containing a collection of over 500 conifers from all over the world. Admire the diversity and grandeur of pines, firs, spruces and other evergreens while taking a peaceful leisurely stroll in beautiful, shaded surrounds.

Perhaps the most unique feature at Birmingham Botanical Gardens is its carefully recreated and preserved Natural Habitats, showcasing the beauty and complexity of natural flora. Wander peacefully through woodlands, meadows and bog gardens and experience the sights and sounds of the sanctuaries of biodiversity and ecological balance.
